The most important thing …

The most important and rewarding thing I’ve done is raise my daughter, who was born in 1995. We did tons of cycle touring, starting when she was five years old with a week-long trip through British Columbia’s backcountry on the Kettle Valley Railway, as well as many memorable trips to the Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands, and a 1,500-kilometre trip through England, France, Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands when she was 10. She’s now a remarkably strong, intelligent and fun individual studying engineering at a top Canadian university. Here’s a “stoker video” she filmed from the back of the tandem on our trip down the California coast in 2008.
